Playing for Manukau
since 1993
Based in South Auckland, New Zealand, the Manukau Symphony Orchestra has a unique mix of professional, student and community musicians, and is known for its ‘very special spirit’. Composed of around 80 players aged between 14 and 85, the MSO gives up to five concerts each season, featuring local and international artists. Its founding Music Director, Uwe Grodd, continues to inspire players and delight audiences with familiar and new orchestral repertoire.
Join The Orchestra
When you join the MSO, you also become part of the MSO whānau. The MSO gives several concerts each season, and rehearsals start a few weekends before the concert.
Support Us
By donating, adopting a musician, making a bequest, or volunteering your time and expertise, you can help ensure the future and sustainability of Manukau’s orchestra.
